There is no greater student of, or advocate for, women in photojournalism than Executive Producer Yunghi Kim

An extremely talented and accomplished photographer herself, she tirelessly supports others. She founded the website Trailblazers of Light, which highlights some of the most impactful trailblazing women in photography by decade, starting in the early 1900s through the 1990s.

In 2015, Kim founded the “Yunghi Grant.” Ten selected photojournalists received $1000 each based on a project proposal or other related criteria. The grant was initially funded with copyright settlement proceeds that Kim has recouped from the unauthorized use of her work. The grant has grown bigger over the last 11 years. One of the main goals of the grant is to bring awareness of copyright protection through registration and enforcement.

Kim’s role as Executive Producer was limited to direction of logistics and funding.
